Secret things ....

We all know that secular media and intellectuals are nuts about the Prince. According to a devastating cable from wikileaks, published by The Hindu, the Prince may have a few - um, nutty issues of his own:

Naqvi claimed that it is increasingly common knowledge that Rahul suffers from "personality problems" of an emotional or psychological nature that are severe enough to prevent him from functioning as PM.

Who would have known! Actually, that's not quite true. We have always believed there was something odd about the Prince. For instance, during the 2009 election cycle, we blogged about it. The cable mentions Congress leaders' growing disenchantment with the Prince and that they thought he "is causing more harm than good" and has "made no impression on the people of the state."

In the same blog post, we unambiguously stated that the Princess came across as a much smarter and polished political leader. The last part of the cable echoes the same sentiments, about how everyone wanted the Princess to join politics and how Sonia Gandhi had chosen the Prince against her own better judgment etc.

The cable also mentions "he continues to be the subject of press reports that rave about his participation in the early January Congress Youth training camp" - which is like, hardly a secret. Read another blog post where we described this in some detail.
