Bounce

You might be curious to know how the much touted PM's relief fund is working for the debt ridden Vidarbha farmers. According to reports, one farmer was beaten up when he went to ask about his relief. But this one was perhaps the most ironic. A woman tried to cash her relief fund check and it bounced! [link]

I can't seem to locate the video from any of the links on the site. I had a copy of the URL in my browser cache. Meanwhile, looks like some damage control was done. Apparently, the check bounced because of local issues.
The cheque issued to the widow of a debt-ridden farmer in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region did not bounce due to delay in release of assistance by the Prime Minister’s Office but "local issues", a PMO statement said on Saturday.

The Yavatmal district officials had erroneously issued the cheque from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund account of the district rather than the CM’s Relief Fund. [link]

Perhaps competence and good Governance will never be a relevant topic of debates.
