Ok, I have no way of verifying this. Found this in a blog:
A distant cousin of mine is in a medical college in Delhi (dont know which one, have met him only once till date and dont even recall his name) told me this. He was in his third year of medicine. In the lab, the professor was asking students to point out various organs on a body on a stretcher. He asked a SC girl student "Show me where is the heart"? The girl pointed out to the kidney. Whooaa.. a third year medical student does not even know where the heart is. I suppose even a high school student could have pointed that out in her place, using some logic and sense. And my cousin noted - she pointed to the right kidney. ROFL... :))

The incident was told to me by my cousin, whom I met at a common relatives place. And yeah, its quite possible. There were some other incidents which I heard indirectly from friends etc, but I dont know how true they are. A newspaper did report a SC candidate in MP scoring 2 marks in the entrance and getting into medical college. I wonder if minimum cutoffs were not in force that time.
I wonder why are people like us being punished.. people like me whose ancestors have no history of persecution of SC/ST/OBC and nor do we have the fortune of belonging to any of these castes. So we lose out for no crime of ours. And yeah, I am neither of the upper castes, nor any of the lower castes.
