Do you read the Verve Magazine? Bet you don't. Perhaps you should. In any case, the magazine offers some rare glimpses of the inner circle in the capital. See if you can find any familiar names in the image. The image is from a party thrown by socialite Devi Cherian and her husband, political lobbyist Dilip Cherian. Apparently this is an annual ritual for the couple. Please note that just because two people are in the same party does not mean they are sleeping together. Partying is not an offence. We encourage people to party and party real hard. They help feed poor people.

Hi Barber
Thanks for the great posts that you have churning out with amazing regularity.I like your "Damn the political correctness" approach
Is it just more than coincidence that those who are in the vanguard of the phoney left ,liberal intellectualism (Prannoy Roy,N.Ram,Barkha Dutt,Suzzane Roy, Karat Couple,Yechury Dude, Rajdeep Sardesai, Honey’s one time husband + his current spouse, Teesta Javed- lack of space permits from me from listing all and sundry who are also usually described as intellectual/activist/progressive etc) invariably come from privileged families, get educated in most prestigious institutions, speed in luxury cars, pocket astronomical salaries, globe trot in biz class, hobnob with the wealthiest, use proximity with powers that be to curry favors , sip the finest fines, holiday in exotic tourist destinations and still pour scorn on the very system that has bestowed privilege on them?
The shenanigans of the media guys needs to be exposed. At the moment, three most retrograde fields in India are media, cinema and politics. This is simply because they are ‘babalog’ dominated.Anything but meritocratic
I think blogs offer the only hope for altenate voices because these power elites have established complete strangehold on the public discourse
If it was Bhaskar Ghose through DD or in son-in-law Sardesai now, these guys continue to rule the roost in the media world through crony capitalism while dispensing their crappy leftist rhetoric to unwashed masses like us
What else explains the stunning silence or at best friendly criticism by leftist media coterie and congress media cohorts like Sanghvi ,the despicable Shekhar Gupta and stinger Tarun Tejpal on the draconian provisions of the proposed broadcast bill
Thanks for your continued support.
Hi! Barabar,This dilip cherian is congress's media manager too.
I know you have some interest in the inside stories of Media houses,so in case u do not know already then,Dibang (anchor on NDTV india) has been fired from there due to his extracurricular (!!!) activities.
