Dr. Ramadoss gets an order

To his great dismay, Dr. Ramadoss discovers that not all of India is his family's feudal turf. Not yet, at least.
In a rebuff to Union health minister Anbumani Ramadoss, the Delhi High Court on Monday directed him to sign the degree certificates of AIIMS students within 24 hours - the very same certificates that the minister was refusing to sign as they bore the signature of Dr Sandeep Agarwala, the registrar whom the minister, as president of AIIMS, was not recognising.

Stung by the court directive, Ramadoss - according to agency reports - has agreed to sign the certificates. [link]
All objections raised by Dr. Ramadoss in the matter were mercilessly squashed by the judge. The certificates were duly signed.

In a country where half the children are malnourished, Dr. Ramadoss has his priorities right. He has spent most of his tenure chasing multinationals and film stars and enacting legislations banning onscreen smoking. Good job.
