He will be back soon. It appears that some rift has developed in the Gujjar leadership. Also, his main sponsors are busy with political crisis at the center. Our theory is that his sponsors didn't want him to erupt into an uncontrolled orgy of violence. Think of a Nuclear power plant (wonder where they got the idea). So they are using moderators, meaning a fractious leadership.Another curious piece of news:
Bitterness between two warring factions of the Roman Catholic Church in Delhi seems to have disrupted the Christian spirit of brotherhood and harmony. This sort of an unprecedented thing happens if you economically pit brother against brother without increasing the pie.
"On that day, people from the Latin parish started provoking us. They said we had no right to be there and that they were the only legitimate worshippers in that church. A heated argument followed and some of us were pushed and hit. It seemed to be a pre-planned job as the police had been stationed there from 6 am," said Sunil John, an SM follower. [link]
Speculations again but this may have something to do with the various affirmative action measures for religious minorities. At the very minimum, the Government should prevent religious bodies from determining eligibility. In the Thampu style schemes, certain religious leaders would have a final say in the eligibility matters. This is unacceptable. By the way, Thampu seems to be in a lot of trouble, apparently he was occupying his position at St. Stephens illegally.
