Seven-year-old Sushma makes the long periodic table of elements sound like a nursery rhyme. Little wonder that she has created a record by clearing the class X UP Board exam, and it wouldn't be a surprise if she makes her dream of being a doctor come true soon.
In a family of high achievers, Sushma is not the only child prodigy. Her brother Shailendra cleared class XII Board examination when he was just 11 years old.
He has also cleared the prestigious Scholastic Assessment Test and secured admission to a US university. “Youngsters are inspired by successful people and we try to follow them,” says Shailendra.
However, he is not sure if he can go. Their father Tej Bahadur Verma is a peon at the local school and obviously there are financial constraints. [video]
