Could it be because missionary preachers preach 'abstinence' and put dikats and fatwas against use of condoms? Even in Africa, soul harvesters who moonlight part-time as AID fighters, actively preach against condom use.
Problem for Vij types is for to somehow pin this stupidity on Hindutva guys. They'll keep trying I'm sure.

Interesting! I would like to check out the source of the statistics you have mentioned. I would think the Muslim death rate is the highest as well. Muslims are a bare 15% (some sources claim 18%) of our Indian population so they have to have a phenomenal birth rate (better than Amoeba) increase to place the majority in a meagre 5th or 6th place. Decimation of the Muslim population is pretty high as well owing to the high death rate (amongst the poor which make the large chunk of the Muslim population) and occasional large number of deaths in instances such as Gujarat Riots. In other countries such as the US the conversion is voluntary and higher than other religions owing to the lack of answers the other options are providing in a society that is fast losing the family centric structure and values. Please do share your source and the statistics.

Well, our friend seems to have made a mistake about his source. I think he was referring to this story in the Foreign Policy magazine, and not the Foreign Affairs magazine.
Importance of fact checking, validity of data and basic common sense eludes many people. I wouldn't worry so much about it.
