Can someone please tell me what is the right context to discuss the credentials or past records of a candidate? After the elections perhaps?

Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if Pratibha Tai had indeed said something like the title of this post. I am not sure her Maratha credentials alone would make Bal Thackeray abandon his allies in their times of trouble. Our president to be does have an anti-Muslim bias, no matter how hard the UPA and the Left are trying to whitewash it. The Afzal matter is hanging too, if you know what I mean.

A fascist streak, latent hatred for minorities, a trail as long as Kashmir to Kanyakumari of fiefdom and corruption. All this is just too good for Bal Thackeray to pass on.
