The footage, which was captured on a mobile phone, shows a furious crowd beating the alleged terrorist, Ajmal Qasab, before he is taken away. It allegedly shows him with other gunmen on Marine Drive, a few streets away from the train station where the group had just carried out a killing spree.
Fleeing the scene of the carnage, the gunmen were forced to stop because the tyres of their getaway car had blown out.

So it is the ordinary people on the street who helped arrest this scum, and not the brave people from maharashtra ATS. they were possibly after 'hindu' terrorists even that night.

Read this version told by the police - no mention of help from ordinary people:
"When the firing started, ASI Tukaram Umble got hit even as the rest of the team pounced on Kasab and subdued him. In the meantime, Inspector Vinod Sawant who had gone to the driver’s side saw that the driver, Ismail, was also firing with his weapon and Sawant and his associate immediately opened fire on him, said Mali. Ismail was declared dead later and Kasab, who initially pretended to be dead, was taken to the hospital."
