Can we politicize corruption? Please?

As you all know, we must not politicize terror attacks. We must not politicize inflation either. The directive on corruption is not clear as the secular media is simply not running corruption related items.
How to become a crorepati overnight

When the spectrum controversy began to spin out of control and Telecom Minister A Raja was recently attacked by political leaders from within the UPA and outside for his questionable decisions, his mentor and DMK leader M Karunanidhi condemned the critics as people who could “not tolerate the rise of a humble Dalit”. As it turns out, the ‘humble Dalit’ allowed his ministerial clout and official address to be used for businesses which later connected with the spectrum deal, now under the scanner of the high court and the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).

Not only did a commercial organisation, with the Minister’s wife as a director, begin operating from his official residence, well-placed sources said the information was concealed from the Prime Minister in violation of Service Rules. The Minister did not also deem it necessary to file an affidavit of ‘non-conflict of interest’ between his family’s business activities and his role as a Union Minister. In course of time, the address was changed and his wife officially withdrew from the firm. But the company’s association with the Raja family continued as closely as before, with the shares distributed among his kith and kin. [link]

Media darlings, can-do-no-wrong Manmohan Singh and P. Chidambaram are not above board on this one. This loot is sanctioned by them. Bribes need not be in cash, they can be in the form of support too. I would put these two gentlemen in the firing line first before Raja.

Raja claims he has kept the PM in the loop on every step of the issue. Remember this same DMK and PMK was part of the NDA rule as well, but they were kept in check.

About the scam itself, I am not aware of anywhere in the world where spectrum (the scarcest of essential resources) is alloted on a first-come-first-served basis.

There is a case pending in the Delhi HC on this, but this sounds like 'strict scrutiny'.

We will have a bunch of legal commentators, some with high-sounding group blogs, have a pretend-session.

Their charter is to show the public that some intellectuals are discussing things threadbare while taking care to avoid discussing the obvious.

To summarize,

No, you cant politicize corruption either. The more corrupt and above board you are, the more vote-marshals are attracted to your party.

This is akin to the way Anbumani Ramadoss said on the venugopal sacking issue.
That the UPPER CLASS MEDIA IS ATTACKING ME AS I BELONG TO THE LOWER VANNIYAR COMMUNITY.
A Trained doctor, talking such nonsense. He has shamed the education he has got.

Anon,

Can you investigate and report back whether the LTTE "crisis" in TN was precipitated to deflect attention from the spectrum scam?
